“Habitat Assessment Specialists” Needed
Missouri’s goal is to establish 385,000 additional acres of monarch and pollinator habitat, wherein each acre has 200 stems of milkweed. To date, the joint efforts of the Missourians for Monarchs collaborative members have established 390,000+ acres of monarch and pollinator habitat in Missouri. Our next step is to assess the acreage to determine the number of milkweed stems per acre. That’s why we need YOU!
We’re looking for individuals to help us assess the quality of monarch and pollinator habitat plantings to determine the number of milkweed stems. We will provide specialized, online training for how to conduct the habitat monitoring. You don’t need to be a scientist to help, you just need to care about habitat conservation and be willing to make a commitment for the entire growing season.
